The Guesthouse
The Spires Guesthouse is located in the Old South Neighbourhood of London, Ontario. Built in 1916, the Guesthouse is attached to, but completely private from, our family home. Two owners ago, an addition was built at the back. This addition is The Guesthouse – your private retreat.
We fell in love with the property and bought it in May of 2020, with the vision to give this grand old dame of a house a little love and care to make her truly shine. Surrounded by tall, old growth trees on an expansive property, you will feel like you are staying in a treehouse in your own private park. Located in Old South and within walking distance of Wortley Village, the best parts of London are easily accessible on foot, by bike, or public transit.
As a small, young family, we understand the unique challenges of travelling with children. We welcome guests of all ages, and especially pride ourselves on being family friendly.

We have travelled the world and stayed in a variety of lodgings, from couchsurfing to five-star hotels! We’ve learned that being welcomed by hosts who love their homes and their cities make for the most memorable and enjoyable stays. We love our home, and we love our little corner of London, and we hope that your stay with us will be restorative and memorable.
Our Philosophy
We choose to restore, rather than replace.
It is not always the easy choice to restore something that is worn out, rather than replacing it with something new. But we believe that the work of restoration is ultimately worthwhile, because we believe in the inherent goodness of the earth, created things, creatures, and especially people.
Our home is a work in progress. You will see things that are in need of care, repair, and love. We are working to restore the things here, so that they may be used and enjoyed for many years to come. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
You will also see things that have already been restored. We hope that we have done honour to the original craftspeople who made those items, and to the earth which provided the raw materials to create those items.
As humans, we also are in need of restoration.
Our mission here at The Spires Guesthouse is to provide a space where you can rest, connect with nature, and find a deep well of peace that will sustain you in your life and work.
